Starting new DWC need a little advice
One more question... does anyone have anyone with the ph tester drops??? well i tested my res and its yellow and it says that its 6.0 but it got me thinking... how do i know if it's not like 4 or something... does it turn to blue or something after it gets lower??? i tried an experiment one time putting a bunch of ph down in a tube that i was testing and i dont think it changed colors but stayed yellow but i was high so idk

Your medium choices are creative  , but their gonna give you probs in the long run. Do you not live near a wal-mart? they should have Peat Pellets. Or you could use straight Perlite (they have grains in a bigger variety if you can find them)
Those strips only test for the range theyre listed for. If youre that concerned, get the pool test dropper kit, otherwise get a ph pen.
GH's Micro and Bloom (Lucas Formula) works every time for me.

Ya, you may have to make your own netpot for perlite.
The formula just makes it hard to mess up. Also saves on nute costs.

You really want to get a PH pen. When you start mixing nutes into your res the color of the water will be brown. Impossible to test with color drops and hard with test strips. PH pen is a must for proper results.
Ive seen a grow using rubber mulch as the netpot medium. They did fine.
Goodluck with your grow!

Starting new DWC need a little advice
I have scrapped my DWC grow. I'm goin back to soil... after studying nutrients I realized that what I had wasn't gonna cut it... So it was either order nutes or switch and I'm just gonna do it how I always do it but thanks to everyone who tried to help  I might post a few grow logs in soil now that I got a few harvests under my belt and I know like 5 times more than I used to so I can only imagine danker buds :stoned:
