Starting new DWC need a little advice

You say you are using distilled water, that means it has no nutrients, and the ph is "neutral" which is a PH of 7. That ph needs to be give or take in the region of 5.5
I have never heard of anyone using packing peanuts as a medium, so I can't really comment on that... but I would use a proven method instead of experimenting with something like that.

Well I looked around for rapid rooters and rockwool but all the stores say they only stock them in spring so i felt like a dumbass pothead and left lol
So its either packing peanuts or marbles...
I used ph down and got it to 5.7

I have a bean sprouting right now so i need advice asap so i dont kill this plant like the last one... For the medium I'm using rubber mulch&packing peanuts... got the seed started in paper towel and placed inside a peanut they're the kind shaped like an 8 and u can poke a hole in them and they're KINDA like rockwool... but anyways i have 3 air stones... 2 pumps... a 5 and 10 dollar one, Rating: 5
