Hi folks! sorry, this is more phylosophic thread than activism, but activism posts always stay longer :) ok, so heres how i think about our existence. We exist for a limite person only, dont we? i mean, only like 500 persons, maybe more, maybe less, knows you. and if nobody knows u do u actually exist? can we say the planet X54Xcu exists even we have never seen it? so im gettin to my point: in fact, we would like exist only for a limited number of persons.. isnt it strange? and even Rating: 5

ok, so heres how i think about our existence.

We exist for a limite person only, dont we? i mean, only like 500 persons, maybe more, maybe less, knows you. and if nobody knows u do u actually exist? can we say the planet X54Xcu exists even we have never seen it? so im gettin to my point: in fact, we would like exist only for a limited number of persons.. isnt it strange? and even there, we are the only ones(the humans and the animals) knowing our existence. we are the only one to prove it, and nobody else can say it. in fact we are an inexistent sand grain among a desert almost infinite.

anyway, all this to say, considering the fact we are nothing, or a particle in a universe, we "do" actually exist, but only for us. and again, consdering we are a particle, do we realle have a role to play in this universe? are we here for nothing? do we have a goal? is there really a god? because if there is a god, it has to be infinite, it has to be all, because he couldnt be at a specific place in the immensity of all. that means we are a part of god. but even there, even if we are a part of god, does life really got a meaning, except the one we can find in this nonsense?

anyway, give your toughts, comments. there should be more phylosophical threads here, i like to see others ppl point of view

I can believe that we exist as spirits (souls) and inhabit many different bodies in different time periods .... this could explain things like deja vu / soul mates / ghosts / tragedies where kids die.

It makes alot more sense than souls sitting in hell, burning for eternity, or flying around with wings in heaven.

When such tragedies happen, we often question the existance of higher powers and the injustice of it all. If spirits (souls) live on and inhabit other bodies then maybe the tragedies are just a mechanism for a soul to transition to another person.

why not waiting till his end of his life? plus this bring so much pain to parents, etc...

i dont really believe in this. seriously i think theres no reason to such events. like why would a lot of ppl are born paraplegic, paralysed, etc

It's hard to disagree with you, but I am open to the "possibility" of reasons for even the most tragic occurances. The basis of most religions is that suffering and death are just a small part of a larger and eternal life. If we deny that possibility, then life is finite and relatively meaningless.

I think things/people exist, regardless of the fact that they or it can or cannot be seen or whether or not it is not know by others. An existence doesn't depend on being seen or sensed in any way it depends on a thing or persons perception of life and reactions to the things around it..

We learn this, as babies. Infants do not understand that things they cannot see, hear or touch, may still exist. This is why babies sometimes cry when their mother leaves the room â?? they think that mother is "gone," for good. When mother reappears to calm them, they're happy again. It takes some time for infants to absorb the fact that things may still exist, even if they can't be sensed.

we can be absolutely certain:
That we exist; otherwise, there wouldn't be anyone to ask do we exist...
and we have experiences, that confirm our existents no matter how small we are in the universe I think we matter and life is what you make it...

or did I miss the whole point of the question?
