The effect of an air conditioner while drying
I posted this as a follow up question in a previous thread but it seems to have lost any attention.
Just wondering if there are any glaring problems with drying buds in a room with an air conditioner in it.
They remove the moisture from the air and obviously it would be pretty cold like 60-65 id guess.
I could turn it off every few hours to keep it a little warmer but I figure if preventing mold was a goal then wouldn't it be better than a room without one?
I am forced to harvest the plants after being rained on for a few hours or else I might not have any bud to dry : / so that's also something to consider.
Time is a factor, any help is much appreciatedBiggsull Reviewed by Biggsull on . Your temperature should be between 65-75 degrees F, relative humidity should be between 45%-55%.
At temperatures lower than 65 degrees, drying time will be lengthened massively. So it would be in your best interest to restrict the a/c flow to a minimum. All your doing with that much humidity and cool air is increasing your chances of molding.

Well the positive is that the air conditioner removes a lot of humidity from the air, If its not humid I doubt mold would grow even if the drying time is lengthened no?
Your range for RH was 45-55%, what could happen if you had a much lower number like say 10-30%
It's either in my room with the air conditioner or out back in a camper that's guaranteed to have a significant amount of spores...I can keep the windows open but that's just begging for it to set in imo.
