Notice of MMJ advisory Board meeting
The New Mexico DOH will be holding a MMJ Advisory meeting Wednesday September 29th at 10:00 A.M. The address is:
Harold Runnels Building Auditorium
1190 St. St. Francis Drive
Santa Fe, New Mexico
Petitions will be accepted until Wednesday September 8th.
Copies of the agenda will be available September 27th by calling Andrea R. Alano by telephone at 505-476-3631.
This would be an excellent opportunity to meet, network, get the latest news, and the inside skinny on what is going down on the political front.
After the meeting maybe we can get together to enjoy a fine meal at one of Santa Fe's outstanding restaurants.
Please no weed, seeds, or clones, politics is serious business and none of us needs to be set up by some troll. That can be done in the privacy of your own business.
I hope to see you there, here is the link:

Great radio JM.
looking forward to meeting you at the meeting.
Sorry for the paranoia all, jail would be a very bad place for one in marginal health, I wish I could edit that out, but to late.

NOTICE of NM DoH Public Hearing on Proposed Medical Cannabis Program Rule Changes
9:30 a.m. - Sept. 30, 2010 - Harold Runnels Auditorium
(Santa Fe) - The New Mexico Department of Health will hold a public hearing at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 30 in the Harold Runnels Auditorium in Santa Fe to review proposed changes to the regulations that oversee the Department's Medical Cannabis Program.
"When we established our first-of-its-kind program we knew we had lessons to learn about the best way to manage this complex program effectively," said Health Secretary Alfredo Vigil, MD. "We will consistently evaluate and make changes so we have a sustainable program that meets patients' needs without jeopardizing public safety."
One proposed area of change, in order to make the program self-sufficient financially, is to add an annual fee of 7 percent of the total annual gross receipts of the licensed nonprofit organizations who produce medical cannabis for New Mexico patients. A second proposal is to change the application fee to become a licensed nonprofit producer from $100 to $1000.
Other proposed additions to the regulations include:
· The Department or its designee may test producers' medical cannabis for mold, bacteria or other contaminants.
· Clarification that producers and all patients may possess seeds. Patients licensed to produce for themselves may obtain no more than 16 seeds from a non-profit producer in a three-month period.
· The Department may open and close enrollment periods for receiving and considering nonprofit producer applications.
· The names and contact information of medical practitioners certifying patients' conditions and primary caregivers will be kept confidential.
· Nonprofit producer board members must be New Mexico residents.
· Nonprofit producer boards cannot have more than two individuals who serve on another board, and individuals may not serve on more than two boards.he New Mexico Department of Health will hold a Medical Cannabis Advisory Board meeting on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 to review and recommend to the department the approval of additional debilitating medical conditions that would benefit from the medical use of cannabis. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Harold Runnels Building Auditorium, located at 1190 St. Francis Drive, Santa Fe, New Mexico

They do need to find a way to make it sustainable program that meets patients' needs I think that is what is holding up not having more producer approved there is no money to get more employees.

"The program needs to fund itself or the rightie-tighties will point out that "my tax dollars" are being used to fund the program and then the WAHHHHHH will begin."
Good point Black, I would not have a problem paying into the system. Its a lot cheaper then the politically correct meds the Doc's are pushing.

Hello JR:
I'm sort of new myself here, what do you mean by "is anyone going up for anxiety purposes?" Here is a link showing all of the qualified patents in the state broken down by county, and the clearest list of qualifying conditions I've been able to find so far.

Getting a card is not easy, in my case it took a primary care physician and a specialist to sign, several supporting documents to convince the specialist, all in all 4 months of time and work. Even after you get a card the medical providers are always out due to high demand.
I hope this helps.
