Hygrozyme
A friend gave me a bottle of hygrozyme Hygrozyme Horticultural Enzyme Formula and I don't really understand what it is good for. I have been to the website, searched this forum, etc, but I still can't figure out if it's applicable to my purposes.
Here's what's up: vegging in Scott's soil w/ 30% perlite, the only thing I have been adding to my ph'd water is Superthrive and once, some coffee grounds (they loved it.) Do I have any use for Hygrozyme in my situation? I can't figure out if it's for soil at all.

I dont know if it is for soil to be honest with you. It may be though...surely somebody else has used it in soil, but I have not. It's a root stimulator which is supposed to maybe cover the roots in something helping them stay healthier longer. I dont know...bottom line the shit works and it works well. I have only ever used it in hydroponic situations so I can only speak to it's effectiveness there. When I use it I typically use it only during the cloning stage and early veg stage. After that I figure there are enough roots in the damn pot already so no reason to keep using the good stuff. It retails for 40 a litter I think.
Plants need roots and a ton of them before they will produce healthy vegetation and then finally fruit. Best way to kick start the program is to kick start root development and products like hydrogyzeme do just that. I'm sure somebody has a more scientific less hopped up answer then I have for you at the moment.
Should you use it??? Why not, if you got a bottle of the stuff just lying around. Otherwise give me a call (not collect please) and I'll take it off your hands. However, unless you intend to rapidly reproduce your grow every month, month after month, I see no reason for you to buy it ever again. I figure unless it's something you really are looking for, why use? The difference between those that do and those that dont would be time. As long as your prepared to wait a little longer for nature to do it's thing, then no reason to keep using it. If on the other hand you want a setup that has you cloning every 6 weeks, then hydrogyeme is probably going to become a stable in your regime.

I've been using it now, in soil, the last two weeks. I still can't say what it does for sure, maybe it brings oxygen to the roots? I do know that my girls experienced a huge growth spurt this week and look healthier in general sine I started using it. I kind of wish I'd been using it the whole time!
Live and learn... :stoned:

Does anybody have any idea as to if Hygrozyme will counteract or cancel out any of the nutes from the GH line?
I.e.
- FloraGro, FloraMicro & FloraBloom
- Subcultures B & M
- Floralicious plus
- FloraBlend
- Liquid Koolbloom
Any info on whether or not Hygrozyme is safe to use with the products listed above is greatly appreciated!! Im pretty sure its safe with the whole GH line of products but i could be greatly mistaken.
Any info or advice on ANY of these products is also greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys!

Hygrozyme is awesome! It helps produce healthy roots. Also this will help with the intake of nutes. When I trans planted a while back some of my roots were a brownish color.whether it be from root rot or just not healthy in general.after useing this @ 8ml per gal in my nutes mixtue. Two weeks later I transplanted again and my root system was white as snow and healthy. Now everytime I feed I use it and have had great results. It was reccomended to me by AURORA INNOVATIONS they are the manufacturer of ROOTS ORGANICS.Its not even thier product but they really sold me on it.

great stuff, works with any feeding program.
enjoy your read, you will be amazed!
I'm a dutch master guy, so I use their root conditioner "zone" some will argue it's a chemical and creates a steril environment. I must agree and that's my objective. I have never lost a plant in the 2 years I've used it.
