trim?

when i see "champion Bud" in well you tube and other media sources, i see a lot of single stock with a huge cola on top, is it groomed that way or is it a strain that grows that way?
Or am i too high to notice the difference???????????

i to would like to know if i shouuld trim all the big leafs off my plants and just leave the buds ?? or do i leave them alone and let them do what they do ? thanks
