If your pump is not on all the time, or if it stops for ANY reason for more than an hour, due to power loss or anything else, your plants will be destroyed. Not worth it.

I have to call BS here, I have forgot to turn mine back on after a cleaning of the emitters for over a day. sure they wilted a little but because there is always a 1" or so of liquid in the buckets.they come right back.
I only run my pumps for 3 min ON and 40-60 min OFF, early on and 60-120 OFF late in flower because of all the roots in a 5 gal bucket system.
