Newbie growing White Widow, LowRyder, Purple Afghan Kush & Original Blueberry!

This is my first grow and things are going good! The picture on my profile is my 4 pride of joys!!! I can't believe how much they stink already!!! I really need help to figure out a simple way to get the stink out of my room!! I have put alot of thought into my first grow but I didn't think the plants would stink this bad!! Also I was wondering if I can put them into flowering..I started germinating the seeds on July 24th and put them under a 400 watt Metal Halide light system on July 28th with a 18/6 light cycle..I've been giving them a 1/4 teaspoon of 20-20-20 fertilizer every time I water which is every 2 or 3 days. They are doing really well but I dont want them to get any higher then 3-4 feet and they are already about a foot now, from what I read putting them into flowering makes them double if not tripple in size im just worried about height, and smell. When I put them into flowering I'm changing the light to a 400 watt High Pressure Sodium bulb and 12/12 light schedule. My LowRyder is an Auto Flowering plant and the other 3 aren't. The Blueberry and Purple Afghan Kush is about the same size as each other but the White Widow is lacking in size and I dont know how much longer I should wait to put into flowering. I'd love anyones advice... haha no seriously ANY advice is appreciated!! Thanks stoners!!

Also I had bought a 8x16inch carbon scrubber too get the stink out of my house. I read that white widow is a very strong plant but I cant believe how strong it really is!! Actually all plants are pretty strong!!! but I hope it does what it says it should do!! I was thinking about using those ONA pails but i heard that if u use them while flowering ur bud could taste like that and im not down for that!! so i hope the carbon scrubber works!! and I would like any advice..im just a girl trying to grow a hella good crop and who is new at this!! would love any opinion!!

Hi clo, they look very healthy and getting a filter was all you needed, your space is small so it's easier to deal with the climate including smell. As for flowering, the sooner you get them in 12/12 the better, they will grow bigger regardless, also try to get your lights as low to the canopy as you can without affecting them, it's harder with a HID but this helps to keep em smaller. I personally put plants into flower at as little as 10-14 days from germinated seed/clone sometimes, never had problems and even had Sativas finishing flower at 3ft this way.

    Anyway they look great..

Thank you for your advice!! I put them into flowering on 9/11. Also I changed the light to a 400 Watt High Pressure Sodium bulb, rather then the Metal Halide that I had in there I had also changed the lights to 12/12. Next time I grow I'm not going to wait the 6 weeks to veg but rather follow your advice and put them into flowering sooner!! I'm sure then they would be alot smaller then what they are now, but hopefully now that they are soo big I hope to get alot more bud! After putting them into flowering the white widow was a male and had to chop him down That really sucks because I was most excited to smoke that one out of the other 3!! I did end up getting a carbon scrubber, but to me I honestly don't think it does what I read it does!! Unless I got a defaulty one or something. I had bought a 8x24 foothill carbon scrubber off of ebay. I plugged it in... and if anything the scrubber itself gives off a slight odor, so I dont even know if I feel safe running it and breathing in the smell of that. So I haven't been using it! A GIANT waste of money!!! After I had taken out the white widow out of the room, the smell is sooo much better!

As for my Lowryder, it's been almost 60 days and it's definitly not done like what I've seen and heard other Lowryders do!! I had to change the lighting schedule to help it along with the others, but I was dissapointed by that. Any thoughts of why it didn't autoflower like they claim it does?! Out of all 4 plants, the Lowryder is definitly a bushy plant. Its 2 and a half feet tall and 2 feet wide!! Nice bush!!

My Purple Kush is my tallest plant and is doing very good! Its slowly starting to flower! I'm excited about this plant!! I'm going to have to take better pictures and upload them to this site.

And as for my Blueberry, she's doing well but is in last place in terms of bud production, infact it just started showing it was a female. Which it better have been, because where I bought them they were "Feminized" seeds!!

Nice grow, I saw the pic, all indica strains.

I notice a lot of people don't have a profile pic, why is that?

so another update...if anyone cares..lol i had to top both the purple afghan kush and the original blueberry because they were just gettin toooo damn high for the living conditions. ever since i cut the tops the other buds have definitly fattened up. im soo excited!! im thinking another 2 weeks maybe 3 til their done..and thats even inclduing the lowryder..im wayyyy past 60 days and its still not done. but i am happy with the bud production so far. I was told by my buddy, (this is what he does) a quick way to flush the soil is by taking the plants out of their pots..take a bunch of the excess dirt off then you place it in a ice water bath for 4 days in complete darkness. now..ive never read or heard about this.. I was wondering if thats a good way of doing it? I dont know much about flushing.. im gonna post some pics..and i would like some advice on that ice water idea.. thanks guys :stoned:[attachment=o257774]
