    Question on CO drivers license

I am moving to CO. When applying for a CO drivers license, is it mailed to you or do you get it while there ? I already have a license from another state...thanks

    Question on CO drivers license

Mailed. I got mine about 10 days. They will punch a hole in your other state license voiding it and give you a paper license till your new one arrives.

Good point and it's pretty much the same whenever you get a license in another State. Birth certificate must be a State issued. Also make sure your tickets/fees from your previous State are paid, as most States now have linked databases. I had an old license from about 15 years ago from another State, moved out of country for about 10 years, came back to the US and moved to Colorado. Went to get a CO driver's license and was denied because I had two outstanding speeding tickets from 15 years ago. Had to contact those county courthouses. Luckily one was a small county and spoke with the local judge directly (he actually answered the phone!) - he dropped it immediately. The other I had to pay the original fee plus a late charge too. Took about a month to get everything cleared and the databases updated.
