Thanks for the responses. I feel that I am not really up for trying to make these lights usable, especially considering they are MH and not HPS lights. I am looking on Ebay and found a couple systems that may suit my needs.

I was just wondering if there is any way of making one of those dimpled-aluminum batwing reflectors more efficient> I have heard they are not very good at reflecting usable light evenly?

This may be a rudimentary question, but I am just learning about lighting. I have been using fluoros, and have decided to make the switch to HPS for a primary lighting. I just received an offer from a guy to buy a couple HPS (so he says) lights for around 40 bucks. The only catch is that I will have to splice on some extra cord to plug Rating: 5
