    PLANT STRUGGLIN HELP

so i have 3 plants in my closet under cfls.
    2 clones 1 seed.
ive been doing everything exactly the same to all of them but i woke up this morning to see one of my clones leafs turning yellow and brown and drooping. even the stem is turning a little brown. this plant does only have 1 cfl over it. my other clone has 2 cfls.
is this because lack of light??

    PLANT STRUGGLIN HELP

What is happening most likely is the clones are not proucing enough roots. With CFLs it is always hard to judge enough or not enough light. The nice thing about flouresant bulbs is you can always put them very close since they put off alot of heat. I would make sure the CFLs are very close without touching. And i would flush your soil or growing medium with PH neutral water for a couple minutes to make sure there is no nutrient lock. Then after give them a stress reliever (high in nitrogen) nutrient.

i would start by filling out the troubleshooting form in my sig.

why would the clones not be producing enough roots macman? it's a good thing you can put them very close since they put off alot of heat? wtf?

are the clones successfully rooted? have you fed them since rooting? it sounds like your clone might be starved for nutrition, but this is ONLY A GUESS. fill out the form for best help!

it is not in need of nutrition because i have miracle grow soil which feeds up the first three months. today it looks even worse. leaves are drying out and turning yellow and even brown. stem is turning brown as well. any suggestions?

    PLANT STRUGGLIN HELP

thanks for replying to half my post, and the part that was only a guess at that, and ignoring the rest. i tried to point you in the right direction and you ignored it....AND YOUR THE ONE WHO NEEDS HELP! lol. by the way, most of the people with the answers around here don't help those in need without the ts form being filled out.

also, miracle grow soil doesn't feed for 3 months, no matter what it says on the bag. cannabis is a nutrient whore, not to mention light. it also runs hot, and more often then not people have trouble with it.

one CFL would not cause such a dramatic effect on your plant. two CFLs on the other aren't much better.

nothing stands out in your ts form as a problem. perhaps you have some sort of wilt. you said the stem is turning brown, is it right about the soil line?

    PLANT STRUGGLIN HELP

Only one cup of water every 3-4 days sounds too little. Looks underwatered to me.

And don't treat different plants the same way if you see problems. Just cuz something works for one doesn't mean it'll work for the others. Learning to listen to the plants is very important, but takes practice and experience :twocents:

it shows signs of underwatering but my soil is very compact and the soil stays moist for like a week. i think it was root damage. its pretty much dead now. its been how it is in the above picture for about 6 days now.
i need to get new soil that has better drainage.
    any suggestions?
