LSY likes to use steel wool around the stem. He swears by it. Nugs is also right. Superthrive is a great idea. And wrap the damaged stem.

Establish a rat feeding and watering station in the bush. If you keep them fed and watered they will leave your plants alone.

And that is some of the worst advise I have given in a while
If i put out water it will attract other things like....bears and i need to keep them out already had trouble with them knocking over newly added potted girls. i cant use any really good stinky fertilizers because its attracts them too. I use Maxisea for the last 2 years and have had decent results 2-3 a piece which is alright with me but from what i have seen i am jealous of those that can use those good ol nasty homemade fertilzer solutions. and i thought i was doing REALLY good LOL

Yes you have the idea. It worked for LSY. I the did it to my coffee plants and lifted my lower branches so they could not climb up that way. It worked well. Give it a shot.

yeah, just wrap it around the base. make sure it goes high enough so they can't just lean against it and chew over it.

Just goggle rats and steel wool and it should bring up the article the company put up. Also has personal stories of people that used it to rid their house of rats. It messes up their palette, which with one touch, they leave it alone:thumbsup:i used it for snails and didn't see one after i put it around the stem.

But get the fine grade #2 worked well as its easy to unroll, then put it up from the bottom as far as it can go as they might try and stand on their back feet and eat:wtf:

Good luck, but it will work:rasta:

Rats got my crop one year. Check really closley because they will burrow into the stems of your plants and litterally live up inside the stalks of them. I got around it by using those little blue kid pools and chicken wire.
