I think accessibility should take precedence over covering oneself.

I do however think the Edit feature should be available nonstop to the post originator, with perhaps a module added for people to see how the discussion was modified, like a Wiki.

There is always a chance that new research proves against what is otherwise a commonly-held misconception.

I think it shows how well, ''we the members'' lov the site. That being said, i think that proven members should have more options on the site, if not based on Rep maybe posts or join date. Its just that most of the time i see way more trolly's, then members on the site at any given time.

I have seen people asking about having contests. I think this would be great to join in or just watch and maybe the winner gets a prize. Have something each month, which ideas could be tossed around for the following month. I think it would bring members together who hang in different parts of the site to get to know each other more.

Threads should be open to anyone who created it to edit, delete. This might help threads which get off topic or that ''when do i water'' question pops up on a grow log in which the creator deems unimportant. So at some point, there would be no thread jacking. Just a thought here as some people dont mind off topic posts and some do not care, but the power will be with the creator of the thread and not the poster.

But i luv the site as is and the above are just thoughts and would be nice, but i would luv an email thats says ''can.com will be updating for x time period'' at least to members. Then id know when to log on to my computer:thumbsup:

We have multiple options available for that without needing to stress CanCom's bandwidth bill or tax their hardware.

Tinychat, Icanhazchat, Camfrog, (all video) or just a simple IRC channel could work.

I would also suggest incremental site maitenance (instead of it all being done for an hour, leaving the site inaccessible) so the site can remain up while self-maintenance is performed.

Part of this is that I use 3 computers on a regular basis depending on where I happen to be working at that moment. I would like to see a way to search the forums for the messages in the last 6 hours, 12 hours, or maybe the last 10 messages, 20, 50 messages.

I do the same thing emmie.
What I do is scroll to the top and hit "quick links" and then "today's posts".
I'm sure you've tried it, but yes, I agree about your request also. Some forums you are able to adjust the amount of recent post's. Would be good here too.:thumbsup:
