Whereas other chemicals that are specially formulated for fruit-bearing plants will be less harmful to your body as they are designed to promote growth of fruit that will be consumed. If you look on the labels of these they will show pictures of fruit, etc but MG doesn't.
Not sure though, I'm not a scientist! But I'd just be careful, I won't use MG now as I'm scared of this.
I along with most people I know have used MG in our veggie gardens for years. As far as ingesting goes, I flush well before harvest of any crop. I'm only on my second grow right now, but I ran my first run with all MG. Soil and nutes and was fairly happy with my harvest. I decided to go organic, but kept two plants in MG since I am familiar with it. Don't wanna lose the whole crop if I mess up!

My grow is in NO way a scientific comparison, but my two MG plants are healthier than my organic ones. I fought an infestation of spidermites on this 2nd grow and lost 3-4 weeks of veg growth, but I saved my ladies. Wasn't sure if I should've scrapped the grow or not since it happened 2 weeks from the start, but they have recovered. I grow MOSTLY for myself and think I'm back on track for now.
