I got my red card in the mail today. My Physician's Cert was done early December, 2009. It took just over 8 months to get the actual card in my hand. It had been so long that I was starting to wonder if I had simply thrown out the mail by accident without realizing it.

Also, the card is good for a year from issue date, not from the date of the Dr. appointment, which is kind of nice. Won't need to renew until a year from now.

I think I might need to have a little celebration! :smokin:

I applied in October, got my redcard around end of may, renewal date is May 17, 2011.

I got another redcard in the mail today saying the first was void due to new regulations, with a new registry number, otherwise identical to the first.

Any other redcard holders seen this?

    how odd!

they are reissuing cards, while they still have piles of unfilled applications?

nothing else different on the card? SSN gone or anything like that?

Same exact info, same card, the only thing that changed is the MMR number it went from 06XXXX to 03XXXX. I am not sure if it had something to do with transferring stuff from the dept of health to dept of revenue.

There's a delivery MMC advertising to sell it's patient list to the highest bidder. I'm glad I've never done business with those outfits, but I have to think that selling patient records would be problematic.

I saw that too and thought it was pretty disgusting. I'm glad he's not my caregiver and selling my info.

If I weren't so busy, I'd forward that post and contact info to the department of health.

I'm 99% sure you can't disclose that info to outside sources, especially info that could be considered private health info. Even as an insurance agent, I can't get that type of info on my clients from a doctor. That's insane.

That is totally unacceptable, one of the reasons my name is in very few MMC's, The post is already gone so someone already flagged it.

Is there a multi-step process they go through? My app got rejected last month because the MMC put the wrong name down as the caregiver. It didnt match the photo ID provided. That was only 5 months from the time i sent my app in till i got the rejection letter. I went to the MMC chewed them out 9 they claimed disgruntled worker that no longer works there did it on purpose and i wasnt the only one it happened to and got all my paperwork redone and sent back in.

So question is do they review paper work as they come in to see for mistakes then go to another pile to sit for 3 to 4 more months before card is sent. Did i just get bumped to the back of the line and now have to wait another 6 to 8 months ? It has been almost 7 months now since i sent the first app in and one month since the rejection.

They are on a real roll right now about bouncing applications. Had one where the pen skipped and the went back and retraced the birthdate... rejected for writing over text in a field on the form. Another was rejected because an 8 had a small loop on top the could have been mistaken for a 6, if you really really stretched your imagination.

I believe that when you resend a corrected form you are bumped ahead. Last year when they booted mine because the Money Order wasnt signed the cert came fairly soon, one month. [btw, the MO had no line to sign on and they still booted it]
