ah yes another newbie with questions lol

Hey dude CalMag is a nutrient. Normally tap water has plenty of both, but distilled and Reverse Osmosis (RO) water don't. Both are essential for growing cannabis. You can get it easily at garden centers, Wal-Mart even has it I think.

They look indica dom (wide leaves), so should flower in 7-9 weeks.

As for the bunched up leaves, those are new growth tips, perfectly normal. They will eventually support more flowers. I like to bend my plants so that the top is parallel to the ground and more light gets to those lower shoots. It's called LST (Low Stress Training). More info in the first link of my sig. You can see examples of LST and Scrog training in my grow logs (also in my sig)

Once you start to tie things down and the plant grows, it'll take whatever shape you make it into. The older parts like the main stem will be permanently trained.

Not sure why you would change your mind later. It's a great technique for smaller grows. A 400w light doesn't penetrate all that well (compared to the 1000 watters that commercial growers use) and training lets you make the most of your lit area.

Just make sure you don't tie things too tightly around the stems, because the stems will grow a lot in width, and could get strangled.

Somehow missed this before, but having more than 1 plant per container is a bad idea. I would try to get those in individual pots ASAP before the roots get more tangled. They will eventually start fighting for food and water, and usually only the strongest survives

If they are already tangled too much you might need cut some roots. It's better to loose a week or two of growth vs. loosing a couple plants.

Finn is giving you good info. also, you want to stop LSTing your plants about 7-10 days before putting them into flower. this will give them time to recover from the stress of training.

spiders are good in the grow room. they eat all kinds of bugs and they don't eat plants.
