What if an employer request a drug test from a mmj patient? Can employer deny employment because of it? I have a job interview and curious as to what will happen if i need to get a drug test. Should i be upfront about it or not say anything at all?

Most companies follow Federal Guidelines. I wouldn't say anything and do what I can to beat the test. I'm worried about the same thing. I used to work for Comcast until they moved out of the state. They followed Federal Guidelines and did fire a medical marijuana patient in Albuquerque.

If there's no getting around doing the test, probably the best thing to do is as blackhash mentions -- take your card and show it at the lab where you do the test. No guarantee that will work, but I think it's the best option. The lab might not report to the employer, or - depending on the employer - they might not refuse to give you a job. This is all too new for anybody to know for sure what will happen....

employer can do whatever they want to do. there is no law that says they have to hire you if you have a mm card and can legally smoke.
