uh... no. "N1gger" is not just any word. You ought to study up on race relations in the US before you say something so juvenile. It's a word that embodies hundreds of years of systemic racial discrimination backed and enforced through violence.

No one is talking about censorship. What we are talking about is self censorship. I'm sorry but given the history, white people can not bandy about the work a word like "n1gger" in casual conversation without exposing themselves as racists. If you disagree, please give us an example of how / when it might be acceptable for a white person to use the work "n1gger" in conversation.

Funny. After trying to post this with the word you folks seem to think is acceptable in common usage I find that this word is censored by the system! Gee I wonder why. Perhaps the mod needs to fix that?
