No such product called 'ready soil'. There's Ocean Forest, Original Planting Mix, Happy Frog, and Light Warrior. Planting a seed directly into these soils other that the Light Warrior could kill them.

No way Jose. Not unless you want light and airy buds, and/or planning on transplanting every 3-4 weeks. Even then you might not get all the potential from your plants. This is why Fox Farm has a 3-part nutrient solution for the different phases of the grow.

Plus the lime used to balance the ph of peat based soils will run out in 6-8 weeks. After that, nutrient lockout and the problems really start.

Again, bad advice. Watering schedules are dependent on the specific grow. The container should be watered to fully wet all of the soil, preferably with a little run-off to make sure. Then you need to wait until the soil is almost dry before watering again.

I don't know what the ph of your hose water is, but it's not the same for everyone. The water should always be ph balanced according to your grow medium. In this case, 6.3 to 6.8 for soil. (ph balanced after adding nutrients/supplements)

But hey, it's your plants. Do what you wanna do. But I'd do some reading before taking my word (or anyone else's) for it.
