Alternative for carbon filters?

I know this sounds absurd, but apparently some company has put out a blanket for improving one's marriage by masking fart smells using a special comforter that has carbon filters inside. Would this even be remotely possible to cut down and attach to fans, etc for a quick and easy filter? Thoughts?
