I want top quality medicine for the lowest possible price. If that means an MMC, fine. If I can find a quality caregiver, that's cool. I'm in the middle of my first grow, if I can grow my own top quality medicine, that would be ideal.
Do you disagree with my assertion that most growers are amateurs? It seems to me that it's like poker. Easy enough to play/get started/grow, but it's difficult to be really, really good. Make sense? What do you think?

As Lennon/McCartney once wrote, "I'd love to turn you on".....
Not all of us are noobs. I have more years of growing under my belt than some of these guys have been on the planet and I was a patient 6 years before Holder made his announcement and all of the pussywannabees came out to play. (since it was safe and all to do so)
I have 3 patients and will be looking for more. Right now there is still $$$ in the cash coffer so everyone is getting free meds until the $$$ that were made from moving their excesses pre-1284 is exhausted. Once that $$ is gone I will have to decide to either take on 2 new patients and charge them for meds or take the excesses to the street and continue to provide free meds to my peeps. In the end I've never charged my patients a dime except @ the onset with new patients to see if they resell it or really use it as it was intended too be used (for themselves). I told em they were stepping into a sweet deal and they only had one chance. Fuck me, fuck yerself. To date, nobody has fucked me, and if they did sell their meds they went without 'cus they are on a set weekly take from the garden and you don't come back for more until it's time to do so.
I have some top-notch pot. Haven't seen anything smell this good or taste this good in the local dispensaries and i KNOW it is as good as anything they have because all of em were beggin me for this clone!
Nope. The kids in town @ the high school ain't gettin' this one, boys. LOL. Now they're all pissed! Oh Wahhhh.
My problem with caregivership is that I'm not gonna take on someone who doesn't have visible needs. I've been asked by numerous "kids" who I know bought their cards if they could get in the mix but Homey don't play that game 'cus that >IS< what has fucked this up for most average peeps. In the end the people who REALLY need these meds are few and far between but you damn near trip over the idiots who think it's all a game. crazy shit.
it's tough on both sides. I don't need an amateurs in-house either.
good luck in the search

I guess it shows, huh?
Sorry to say but many of us are not in a better position to help others as we once were. Article 14 was set in play by voters who though the truly sick would benefit from medical marijuana. They didn't envision little kids running amuck in the candy store and using this law as a way to skirt personal responsibility for their actions in society. Now it's all a joke/game and the public is reacting by speaking towards limiting the individual freedoms of those folks who have the records to back up their medical history and show they qualify?
We're all lumped in the same boat, yet only a few are using phrases like:
"capped at 55 an 1/8th"
"1400 an ounce caviar"
"bend over, friend"
different phrases, same meaning, IMO.
Folks just need to wake up. ALL the pot the patients were smoking up to a few months ago (and later in many shops) was caregiver-grown product and it was good enough for these profiteers to build their business on.
now we can't grow, our product is tainted, and yup, we're suddenly all amateurs!
now what were ya saying about us and them?

20 is too much, even if its just a gram by itself, growers have overhead to, who do you think pays the bills, and not only that when you have someone as your caregiver, overhead or not, theyre growing 6 plants for you, so there should be SOME kynda break, I take it MMC is Medical Marijuana Caregiver?? am I right?

Denverbear
the limitations here and elsewhere make it hard to help others. Such is life in an unperfect world.
I'm hopeful that I'll be able to take on those extra patients but with Aurora and other municipalities already talking about limiting residential grows because this has all been thrust in their faces that will remain to be seen. My own locale has already given indication through land use regs they let out of the bag too early that they too may follow such an (unconstitutional) avenue. It remains to be seen what they will formally do but the door is open for further abuse of our rights if portions of 1284 aren't challenged and the patients don't do anything to protect their individual rights as given them under Amendment 20.
best of luck
