    PROP 19: YOU DECIDE...

As I've stated in the "no on prop 19" thread: Prop 19 is designed for the purpose of making money for the govt. They try to shine that up with lies about how they will put the money from taxing mj into schools, and how the bill will cut down on illegal immigration. Yet it does nothing to help people already in jail for mj related offenses, nor does it make possession of or sales of seeds legal.

It's just too flawed a piece of legislation. The percentage of californians who support the legalization of marijuana, and the percentage of likely voters who support prop 19 are two completely separate numbers.

One thing people need to know and admit is that this bill would not make California the smokers paradise, and that prices for legally purchased mj would skyrocket, while quality plummets. This can be countered if you grow your own in your government allotted 4'x4' area which you will likely only be able to fit one medium sized plant, per parcel.

I would equate prop 19 to an impulse purchace. Sure it looks good and fun, but is it really a good idea to buy it. And once you've got it, you're stuck with it.

its 25sf not 16sf and the only meaningful comparison for this is what is allowed right now under the law which 0x0. it is not the tokers holy grail but certainly a step in the right direction.

I say NO on legalization let me tell you my morbid twisted point of view . well thats what my old lady says . im from the stretts so i look at it from the streets point of view .

I know of alot of people who sell only flowers and nothing more but someone started with flowers then moved on to harder stuff . wich carried stiffer penaltys and now the guests of the feds . but some got caught moveing flowers and the little jail time they got scared them straight .

now imagine if you dont start moving flowers then you will more likely move crystal glasses then now imagine the local jr high kid selling crystal glasses instead of flowers to make money now?

or what about the lessons some people learn to get scared straight now you get 3yrs for a small 10 dollar crystal glass instead of a cop ride home and your parents told a very big diffrence

sorry but this is just reality there are places in this country where kids sell things to survive . And people from all around drive to these areas to buy it this is just a fact of life . does it need to be fixed yes but right now its not

these are things we need to look at like i said some people may think its morbid some may agree but its reality .

Current law makes no specific reference toward a statewide space limit for medical users, not 0x0. It also doesn't regulate number of gardens per parcel.

i wasn't talking about medical users, that is different and will not be affected by Prop 19. the current state law for non medical user (or people who just don't want to have to get a doctors permission to grow) is 0x0.

could someone explain why 0sf is better than 25sf. :wtf: its kinda like offering someone a scoop of chocolate ice cream and they refuse it because they want 5 scoops instead. seems kinda childish to me. :twocents:

vote yes on this one and start working hard on your own voter sponsored initiative that will improve on for the next election season.

note: this is not aimed at you personally I mean people in general. :rasta:

All I can say is if they don't pass this they will have thrown away self-determination, and all the talk about We the People, is just that, talk. Get out and pass this earth shaking proposition. Set the people free. imp:

Don't be fooled,...how long do you think it will take before tobacco company's lobby & force in laws to prohibit growing & selling are own weed.!?!? just like tabacco, we have a good thing going now with quality & price competition. passing the law will actually make pot less free?!taking it from the peoples hands & giving the power & control to the government & tobacco company's. don't be fooled!!!!!vote no! don't be tricked under the guise of freedom:wtf:
