try 2 or 3, so if u mess u wont lose all your seeds. but sometimes seeds can take over a week to germinate, but normally take 2-3-4 days

Good seeds tend to sprout better, the seeds we initially started with from worldwideseeds.com had about a 95% germination success rate and about a 65% 75% female rate, good genetics makes growing alot easier.

Are you using tap water to germinate the seeds? The chlorine could have made it harder for it to germinate...you have to let the water sit in an open container or boil it to evaporate the chlorine...I always do this before watering my plants.

Germination Techniques...
right ok ive read this thread and i have a few seeds in my hand which i need to germinate. is the below correct:
i) let some tap water sit for a while (like 24 hours) to get rid of the chlorine.
ii) add seeds
iii) wait for 24 hours to see if root tip appears
iv) if not then sandpaper/score with blade
v) plant them in soil
is that right??? i really need to start asap!

this is how i do it but there's different ways:
1) evaporate the chlorine, the way you said, a quicker way would be to just boil the water rapidly for about 5 minutes and then let it get to room temperature before using it...
2) fold a few paper towels in half. pour the water over the paper towels, i find that you can nearly drown the seeds and they'll still germinate, but don't completely soak the towels.
3) place seeds on one side of folded paper towels, fold the other side over the side with the seeds gently, don't smush it down b/c of suffocation
4) you may have to wait more than 24 hours, but just check ever-so-often. keep these in a cool, dark place (in a drawer/closet) while the seeds try to germinate. KEEP THE TOWELS WET! if it dries, the seeds won't have the initiative to pop open. some seeds can take days and days to germinate.
5) once you see that the root has popped out of the seed, dig a SLIGHT finger-hole in your soil...place seed there, and sprinkle some LOOSE soil over it. don't worry too much about water here, just make sure the soil was moistened before you put the seed in it
6) wait, and wait, and maybe wait more...by this point, the sprout will take root and the other side of it will begin to grow UP, against gravity, it naturally finds its own way up...you should put your lighting on it now...
or you can just put the seeds slightly below the surface of the dirt, keep it lightly watered, and they'll do it on their own in the dirt, saves a lot of steps...just keep the soil pretty loose (don't pack it or push down on it).
that should get you started...
