    Germination Techniques...

I have been trying to germinate 5 PokKushXNebula seeds for about a week now and they are being very stubborn. I have them soaking in a glass filled with room temperature water but so far nothing. Is it possible that this strain just takes an absurdly long time to germinate or are there other ways i can get that tap root to start emerging... thanks!

    Germination Techniques...

Well i realized something with seeds, someimes the seed shell is too thick, or too hard, and some streams have problems with germination, cuz they cant absorb enough water.
This technique has gave me an amazing succesfull rate.
1st put the seeds in a water glass for 24 hrs, make it sink
2nd if it hast spread, take a very sharp blade, and cratch the sides of the seeds, (to make the sides of the seed thinner) do not scrath it too much or youll kill it, and when you do it do not press the seed too hard or you are gonna break it.
3rd put the seed again in water 24 hrs, it will at some moment of this crack, and show the tip of the root.
4th put it inside the soil, with this tip looking down, in the must vertical way as possible.

***Do not touch the root tip!!! do not try to help the seed opening it, youll kill it.
and if you got another question just post it, and be carefull dont do anything if you didnt understand me well...

He means scrape the seed with a sharp blade to take a layer off the shell so it's less thick, allowing it to absorb moisture properly so it can germinate. I've never had to do this though and I don't think I would do it.

try using fine sandpaper instead of a scapel or razor blade, basicly its alot harder to fuck up using sandpaper for this, and its not the actual shell you want to sand paper, its the seal or line between where the seed shell sides meet.

Ok, I think I understand now... if i were to just leave them in water, even if the shells were really thick, would they eventually sprout a tap root? Or are some seeds just doomed to sit in the water until I interveine?

yes thanks, well you can use sand paper as well, i personally preffer a sharp blade, its easyer for me, but you can use any of both techniques, and exactly by the seals of the seed, where both shells meet.

If you let it in water for a loooong time, maybe it will never sprout, i had like 5 seeds long time ago soaked in water for like about 3 weeks or so i dont really remember, and nothing ever happend.

If you do this youll get a germination right away normally...

or ya could just do it the old fashioned way which has worked for millenia for millions of farmers...plant directly into the soil, half inch below surface and keep moist...never soaked, never dry. it's how i do it...

true, del....I've never heard of putting a seed down in a jar of water anyways...the root trying to come out needs some air...I've ALWAYS gotten a sprout from putting the seed in a few folded wet paper towels...I think they like that solid medium to actually dig into...I've never put them directly in the soil, but I imagine that would work best or just like the paper towel...they wanna dig, I had a sprout dig all the way through the paper towel before!

Well dont just be critic with my technic why dont you try it and see it by yourself if it works... the root needs air after a few days of sprouting, at the beggining it needs a big consentration of humidity
