You can choose to designate a primary cargiver usually for a benefit of some sort (like reduced pricing or free product from time to time) which relinquishes your right to grow for yourself.

Or you can grow for yourself!

You sir, are actually mistaken about this. A patient is able to designate a primary caregiver and may still grow 6 plants under the law.

Under 1284, I thought this was one of the provisions. Maybe it was only in the introductory bill because now I cannot find it. I will do some more research.

All you have to do is look at the new state forms from the Dept of Health
