Only Wells Fargo, B of A, and possibly Citi would try to sue me since I have higher balanci es. My other card debt would be written off since that is much lower. I already paid one Citi card off recently so that should be good enough for them.

But since I live in Pennsylvania, they cannot sue for wage garnishment against my employer, only my bank account which I will just simply close. No one has the right to come and take my hard earned pay from my account!

The kicker is that I make under $21,000 a year so the judge would more than likely rule in my favor and order the credit card company to simply write the debts off and order them to stop harassing me with calls.

All my accounts that were included in my debt settlement program have been referred to collection agencies and I had to get a new phone number because of the harassing calls. They called my employer and my family members so they all got cease and desist letters. Most stopped calling. I even bitched at some fucker in India who even refused to send me a new invoice to pay the debt. lol. So they can call and harass you all they want, but they refuse to send you an invoice to pay their debt? Something is not right here.

Why don't credit card companies go harass people making fucking $90,000 a year with a $300,000 house? This is what started the housing crisis. Paying $500 a month, than $800, than $1100 a month, than it gets to a point where you can't pay at all!

It also sad that everyone's interest rate has to go up so the CEOs of credit card companies can get hundreds of thousands of dollars in bonuses and host cocktail parties, while the average American really needs 2 jobs to make ends meet. That is sickening and it definitely calls for revolution!! Whats even funnier, is that the Federal Reserve is the biggest credit card in the world and it prints our own money.

All in all, America is a nation of debtors. Yes Americans should have been more careful when it came to credit cards, but Congress also should have enacted laws that protected us against ridiculous adjustable interest rates.

Owing a debt to someone and being legitimately unable to pay it off is NOT a crime!!!
Anubis10012007 Reviewed by Anubis10012007 on . Credit card debt and wage garnishment I just found out that since I live in Pennsylvania, that we have a very strict wage garnishment law. In a nutshell, if you have credit card debt out the ass like I do, a credit card company CANNOT sue you for wage garnishment. HOWEVER, they can get a court order to deduct wages from your bank account, in which you either close the account or change accounts. What is even cooler though is that you cannot go to jail if you fail to repay a court ordered garnishment for credit card debt in Rating: 5
