Single finger leaves
Decided to start a new thread as I have a better description of what I am dealing with now. The leaves are emerging like fingers. One at a time, singular in nature, long and fat. I mean, really long and fat. Over the next few days, they begin to fan out. First with a nub, then a fully separate segment (tip? not sure what to call the segments of mj lef). Another day or so later, out comes another. Their mothers don't grow like this. They grow normal. To make matters worse, it's 2 separate source plants, but they are both White Widow. It started when I repotted and moved into the flower room. Prior to this they were vegging under T5 lights. I'm not sure if the issue is the repotting or the intense light. I'm getting pretty mixed messages about whether or not I should continue to keep them. Some threads lead me to believe I hermied them then other threads suggest this happens and although it may not return to normal, they will bud just fine.
WTF did I do? Was it the repotting or the moving or both at the same time? They weren't growing like this under the T5's. They were nice and bushy but more importantly, they grew their leaves normally. Every since I repotted and moved them, I get these fingers now. They were in a 100% coco but I felt that they weren't getting dried out enough. I transplanted them into the same size pot only with a 50/50 blend of coco and hydroton. Then I put them in the flower room to veg for another week or so and let them adjust to the repotting.
5.8 ph 900 ppm
cal/mag supplement (only started using that this week though)
GH Maxi series powdered nutes with a ph buffer (I never use ph up/down)
50/50 coco/H-ton
Currently watering at lights on then twice more before lights out. No water during lights out. I'm still very confused about the water schedule. I'm not sure if it's better to water once a day or more given the heat I am in and the 50/50 nature of the media. My coco is very fine which makes a huge difference on how often you water. I think next go round I will be using the croutons.
It's been nearly a week and I'm still not seeing the growth return to normal. The growth is phenomenal though. The node spacing is tight and the finger leaves shoot out 6 or 8 inches. The vegetation seems pretty strong and mostly correct in color. I think I have a mineral deficiency, which specifically I don't know, but cal/mag seems to be correcting it, slowly but surely. I should have been using it from day one.
Thoughts on my mj plant that doesn't even look like a mj plant. WTF am I complaining about right? I should be selling the seeds.
on a side note: u think that cup o' clones (see pic) is gonna root?Prodaytrader Reviewed by Prodaytrader on .
