Plant flowering too soon???
This is my first grow and i have been reading EVERYTHING i can find about growing. I even purchased Greg Greens "Cannabis Grow Bible" (killer book, i reccommed it to any grower novice or pro) and i've come to understand alot about the subject, and here lies my problem....My plant is about 4-5 weeks into veg. and has about 6-8 sets of fan leaves, while doing regular matainace on my setup today i noticed what seems to be white little pistols starting to form at the base of some of my nodes...does this indicate that its trying to enter the flowering stage? I really wanted it to be at least 8-9 weeks or a good foot and a half before switching to 12/12 to begin flowering. Should the pistols be clearly visible already or is it indicating im not giving it enough light during the day? Any help would be appreciated.

its a indicator that your plant is mature and ready to flower to its full potential. dont worry they are just pre-flowers. what kind of light you using and strand? if your going to use a weak light and your growing a sativa or hybrid it will stretch big time and your lower stuff will not get enough light or little light to the bottom that will create small unripe fluffy popcorn buds that usually get tossed in the hash making pile.

Im using 3 lights, all the same kind. Thier GE plant gro-n-sho lights from the local hardware store, they almost look like spot lights or something.I have One on each side and one above it. I have it in a closet lined with this stuff called mylar <--- ithink thats what its called. The book i read told me to use it to reflect the light. Idk what strain i have, i got it out of a bag of some dank, it was really orange-red looking, the guy called it "grit"...idk if thats just some hood slang or if thats what the strain was lol. It was just one of those bags where you knew you had some good and i happen to find 2 seeds and went for it..

Those lights are power hogs. In this day, and age all they are good for is a Lizard aquarium. Go to the store, and spring less than $10 on the highest wattage CFL (compact fluorescent) bulbs you can find in the red spectrum.
Right now you are using 300w/hrs of power, for the same wattage you could be using 15 20w bulbs. Thats enough light to grow at least 3 times the amount you are now.
