Question about Seedlings

Recently planted a plant outdoors and let it germinate naturally in the soil and the cotyledon's are getting big but there is nothing visible growing from the center. There is just two leaves and I don't know if it just needs more time or i Dont know i'm at a loss.



P.S. It looks like there is a twin growing out of the soil as well maybe that has something to do with it?

Maybe the birds topped it for you! they will do that to seedlings that are young and tender. Just experience speaking...

So you think birds ate it? In which case I should just give up on it?

And what of the twin that seems to be growing from the very same spot in the soil? is that bad?
