Tokerâ?¦.I use my own mix (very similar to yours) that I use for seedling and clones, so far itâ??s performed perfectly for both.

1 part no nute potting mix (Red Star is what is available locally).
1 part Fox Farms ocean forest.

To that blend I add about 20-25% perlite (for drainage) Didnâ??t actually measure.

Ok, now my blend will be quite acidic,(sphagnum peat is quite acidic) so I wet a sample for a day or soâ?¦then run enough water through to obtain a Ph sample. Add my lime to balance Ph. (it doesnâ??t take much) In my case 1/4c lime brought 5 gallons of soil mix up to Ph perfectly with my 7.0 tap water.

This all sounds very similar to what you have and are planning.

So in your caseâ?¦.after you blend w/ FFOF recheck Ph and correct as necessaryâ?¦.and I would guess that the addition of a little more perlite wouldnâ??t hurt (itâ??s practically impossible to overwater a well drained soil).

All in all sounds good.
