You will fail the home test most likely, everyone is different but you are looking at 14-21 days probably before you pee clean. Possibly longer since you have been a chronic. I know one guy who still failed after 30 days of no smoke with similar stats to yours.

My ex-wife managed to piss clean after 6 days of abstaining and she was as much a chronic smoker as I am.

I'm going to get the home test tomorrow and see how I do. If I do fail it, I'm going to use the QF when I take the real test.

But again I wonder: if I do pass the home test, is there any chance I could still fail the real test?

Nope, home test kits are extremely accurate and if you can pass one then you should have no problem passing the lab test.

When taking the home test, be sure to use the first urination of the day (when THCA concentrations would be at their highest) .

If you pass the home test with the first urination of the day, then you'll pass the scheduled U/A at any time of the day.

Makes perfect sense!

I'll be taking the real test Wednesday, so I'll test myself Tuesday morning (or possibly Wednesday morning depending on what time my real test is).

This abstaining crap sucks! The real kicker is that I have about 1/2 oz of really good stuff just sitting and slowly drying while I abstain! It's not that difficult abstaining when I don't have any but when I have a lot of really good stuff it's practically torture!

I took two home tests. One when I woke in the middle of the night around 3.30am and had to piss and then another around 9am when I woke up for the day and had to piss.

Both tests came back negative! imp:

The only thing that worries me is the faintness of the "negative" line on the home test. I'm fairly certain that if I can pass this home test with my dirtiest pee of the day that I can pass a lab test with somewhat diluted normal pee of the day.

The kits I have used had instructions that said even a faint line is NEG.

Yup! I'm so relieved! Now if Wednesday would just get here sooner so I can smoke again! This has been the longest 8 days of my life!!!

Not sure I understand the policy regarding the mention of legal narcotics but I apologize to the mods who in turn deleted my post. :-/

Anyway, I took my UA yesterday and I believe it will be ok. They didn't even ask me to empty my pockets which will be good to know in case I ever get randomly tested in future!

I've also got this unused bottle of QF which I'll probably keep hidden at my new job as a precaution.
