Drinking tons of water days before the test does not help clean you out faster. Dilution is only effective on the day of the test. I will however agree with you on the synthetic urine.

IAMBOB, below are a couple of links. One on dilution and one on substitution. Given the amount time you have before the test, I would say you should probably substitute. Google Quick Fix synthetic urine, its 100% effective if you can maintain a temperature between 90-100 degrees.
