Sounds to me like the harshness, and the fact that it chars but doesn't burn are related. It probably isn't dry enough to smoke. Dry it out a little more before your next smoke and see what happens.

EDIT: I was just thinking it would be cool if the cedar tree cross pollenated the mj plant and grew a 40 foot tall cedarijuana plant. Like how the Simpsons made the "Tomacco" plant from tabacco and tomatoes.
LOL, thats hysterical. That would be so awesome. I was thinking about something along the same lines, wondering if the pollens from say, I donno, a salvia plant or poppies were to resonate onto it, what would the buzz be like? Would it have any effect whatsoever? Probably not I suppose.

As far as it being too wet, good thinking but it's dry as a bone. That's why I'm thinking maybe the cedar pollen is really coated on thick and keeping it from burning down right.

Plant pollens on your bud Alright, so I smoke pot for chronic pain and sleep problems (which, after 3 years is counter productive) and I recently came across a generous dude who grows his own and was sympathetic to my situation who is giving me a few grams a week for free. Now, as soon as I got it I noticed an extremely strong cedar smell on it, but it looked like it was actually not bad outdoor and had a good crystal count. I've been smoking it for 3 days and its harsh shit, but aside from that and a weird taste, I Rating: 5
