    Sativa vs Indica/Sativa

I have my grow going of 12 plants (ebb/flow) and they are a mix of Sativa and Indica/Sativa plants. Pic on left is a sativa and pic on the right is a indica/sativa plants. My question is this:

Since sativa is taller/thinner is it not better to go with all sativa plants because you get much better light penetration during flower stage which means if more light is hitting on more of the plant does not that me more yield??

My indica/sativa plants are much thicker on top which mean less light is getting to middle/lower part of the plant so that is why I am asking this question. My indica/sativa plants look the best but I am just thinking the more time of flowering the less light getting to them vs. sativa which are taller and thinner.

I am sure I will find out once the grow is over but just curious how important light is to the overall coverage (top/middle/bottom) of the plant.

I started out somewhat unprepared....I grew what was ready....it was mixed.

You already know the answer, the more indica (shorter) plants suffered due to lack of light.

Now if you have multiple lights that can work at different heights then simply be prepared (plant in groups). Otherwise work for a continous canopy.

indicas= faster flowering, more weight per plant most of the time, can be growin in shorter areas. lower buds really arent losing out that much, and sativas are taller so still less lumans to the lower buds, longer flowering. I like to have both for day and night smoke.:stoned:

Thanks guys for the feedback, since I have two lights in my tent on my next grow I will keep them grouped properly. I have them all mixed up now and for next grow will group them correctly.
