MMJ and Border Patrol ?'s
What is everyone's opinion on Border Patrol and other federal immigration agencies in southern NM and MMJ. I was wondering what you think they might do in the event that they caught someone with state authorized medical marijuana?
It seems that most cali check points are seizing money and meds but not currently prosecuting people.Feijao Reviewed by Feijao on . I had a buddy arrested, first the called local cops, the local cops said let him go, then they called the sheriffs, they said let him go, the state troopers came and picked him up and booked him.

And the thing you guys are missing is, since their are conflicting state and federal laws, if an officer really wants to he can still arrest you, and you will have to plead your case to the judge.
I don't agree with the rules, just explaining them.

it seems to change from experience to experience.....but the law states that any drugs found by the bordal patrol requires them to notify the DEA. All state authorities are just that...STATE. We have a state license, so with the right backing, as in having your card, and not doing anything illegal, you should be just fine. Might lose your material.....might not....it seems to depend. I have been stopped with clones.....I got thru with them. I have been stopped with an ounce and had to watch them stomp it on the street. I've also been stopped with a bag the size of a half oz or so, they let me leave with it. In all cases, they contacted the DEA. Again, the DEA doesn't want to fool with marijuana. As a matter of fact, the DEA got a memo to leave medical marijuana alone. We shouldn't have to sweat it, if we are legit.
Rookie agents act like rookie agents. Thats just bad luck.
