Fingernails are very similiar to hair. The nail behind the cuticle that you can't see would be the start of new growth. After a smoking session the THCA will stop depositing and your nails will continue to grow. Since you can't cut the entire nail off(I wouldn't recommend this kind of pain), you have to wait until all the showing nail has grown out and been cutoff. The reason I say 3-6 months is because everyones nails grow differently. Mine grow fast because I like you, bite them all the time.

As for hair, THCA stops depositing into the hair 2-3 days after your last smoking session. We like to tell people to wait 7-10 days and then get a hair cut almost to the scalp. All new hair growth will be clean however, most testers look for atleast 3\4 of an inch to test. If your hair isn't long enough they will take it from another region of your body.
