    moonlight replication

I'm on my first grow ever and am doing it indoors. I am using fluoros despite all the bad press they get. I've smoked fluoro bud and it worked just fine. I understand the lighting basics and have just begun to flower my babies. My "newbie question" is has anyone ever seen anything or tried replicating moonlight? I know that indoors, your are trying to provide the perfect environment to keep the ladies happy and I would think that in nature they get moonlight, would it be to my advantage to try to replicate it or will the replicated moonlight cause my plants to go back into veg or hermie?:weedpoke:

I guess, on second thought, since all the moon does is reflect sunlight all someone would have to do is determine spectrum and lumens and go from there. Not gonna try it on a whole crop though!

why would u want to do it anyways.your growing indoor's.if u you want the light from the moon grow outdoor's.....i will say this if you add light to your dark cycle when flowering you will no matter what get hermied bud no if ands or butts about it...try it out but hope to waste lots electricity for doing so....

its a good question but i think if it was possible to do and needed someone would of tried it and we would know about it!!

good luck if you choose to do it..

you can add green light during you night cycles because it doesnt effect the flowering period....maybe you can use that for your moon light al though its green..

but what color doess the moon give off....

Since the moon reflects the suns light, I would figure the light spectrum would be similar. I would have to agree with you that if it was needed it would probably be on the net. I was just thinking about that probably. There always has to be a first, but I'm not going to be the one anytime soon.

As i know we need a blue light source which encourage the grwoth of marijuana, it can be of from any source...Most used blue light sources are Gro-Lux, cool white flourascent lights.I am not sure about the intensities to be used, You can search for it in the web

Put a tiny blue LED light in the grow that is at the edge of the grow, and see if the plants closest respond. Use a very dim one at first like a HDD light on the front of your computer. Grow several crops increasing the brightness of the light each successive time until the plants hermie, and then back it down to the safest most productive level.
I'm going to guess that the light of an mini led flashlight will be too much, but one micro LED per square yard or so wont do anything at all.
Give me the final report in about 2 years.
