Will my plant come back from stem being chewed?!
Hello,
As my constant war with bugs(mainly slugs) rages, the damages are now very visible. What I thought to at first be bark growing on my plant, turned out to be chew marks from slugs rampaging up and down. My plant are near wetlands, so the conditions are perfect for slugs, and my main course of defense was beer traps. They work well and all, but I am not beginning to realize that I am going to have to literally change the traps everyday, buy some copper to wrap around my plant to keep the slugs from moving up, and maybe even lay some eggshells around the perimeter of the stem. Just wondering if you know if my plant will recover from these gnaw marks from these bastards slimy creatures. Much Appreciation!Bataleon420 Reviewed by Bataleon420 on . Unlike other snail and slug controls, Sluggo uses iron phosphate instead of metaldehyde. Naturally found in soil, unused iron phosphate acts as a fertilizer. After ingestion, slugs and snails cease feeding and die in 3-6 days. Reapply every two weeks. Safe for use on all lawns, fruits, vegetables, ornamentals and around pets
sluggo, you can get it on-line or maby 8x the price at your local hydro store
i use pyrethrin concentrate...there is "dont bug me" which is a fox farms product that is something like a combination of "sluggo" and "dont bug me". all around the same price of 10$ to 20$ but last a while. you are liveing where slugs have lived for a loong time, dont know if natural remedys are gona be enough. these plants are pretty strong can recover from a lot of things but you gotta do some slug fraggin!!
your slugs like beer and spicey food haha....im not even gona finish that one. is that a tooth pick at the bottom?
shoot one of them cat tails with a bb gun for me, good luck:rastabanna:

Picked up some sluggo at the local hydro shop, and waiting to see results. The slugs supposodly eat the pellet bait you sprinkle throughout the ground, cease feeding, and die within 3-6 days. Pretty heavily infested area so I spinkled that shit all over the place, along with using my beer traps at the same time. Hoping for great results! Lets all hope for the best!
