need help with posting!

i want to start a grow log on here for my first grow. i cant figure out how to post pics of my work so far though and it sux. i see a button that says "insert picture" but when i click it it asks me to put the link in. wats that about? is there a way i can just upload a pic from my pc?

Hey there,
Welcome. Use the attachment uploader in the posting box (the paper clip). Upload the picture/s you want. Then to insert them, click the little drop down arrow and choose which you want where. Or alternatively, you can upload pictures to somewhere like imageshack, then link them here.

I had to include an example, plus Sonic is always cool.

When you bring up the editor to enter a message, use advanced mode.
At the top of the message box you will see a string of icons.
An underlined A, a smilie. and a paper clip.
Clickin' on da clip will open an upload menu.
Browse your hard drive for the photos you want, click 'em, and hit OK.
When you've lit the ones you want, hit upload and wait for that to finish.

(Almost there, but not done yet.)

Return to your message.
Place your cursor where you want the picture to be, then click
the little down arrow next to the paperclip and choose the picture you want in that spot.
It will insert the word "attach" and a number, between right and left carats.
When you preview the post you will see your thumbnail photo which will expand to full size when chosen.

If you click on your underlined name at the top right of the page, it will open your "user control panel" as others see it.

Create a picture album, and put pics that you will be useing more than once in it.

Or, just yer favorites.
Then, when you post from advanced mode, and click on "insert picture" thingee, above the, "enter a link" box, you will be shown your albums and can just choose which thumbnail to embed.

Click on my avatar and then on "open all albums."
It should become clear.
