marijuana altering my beliefs
Hello all! I am a regular pot smoker(i only smoke high quality hydro) and when I used to still be new at smoking and was REALLY stoned off good sativas, I felt as if I was fully aware and i found myself thinking deeply about stuff that I never would of thought about sober. For example, I was raised in a christian home and my parents always were super strict about thier religion. Every since I started smoking, It feels like I cant comprehend christianity anymore, like It doesnt "feel" right.
For a while of feeling this way I had been learning a lot from books, or online about the crazy things i was thinking/questioning. Soon I learned about the third eye, astral projection, spirituality, meditation, and other things that "felt" right to me. So now I really dont follow much religion. My mind has been altered but it feels like its the right thing. I feel as if my eyes have been opened, but could this be from marijuana?
I cannot get stoned anymore without feeling spiritual. I have been smoking for only 2 years but i smoke every night now. I do not ever feel any negative energys when stoned, i always feel enlightened and like i am on a new level of consciousness.
I want to know if anyone else has gone through this also? I still believe in god, but i feel though as god is nothing like christianity claims.Ben530 Reviewed by Ben530 on . marijuana altering my beliefs Hello all! Welcome. You have just taken your fist steps in a larger world.
For every answer you will find a thousand questions. Only you have the right answer for you.
The only down side is being busted. Even then there are thruths to be discovered.

Another example of how cannabis use brings a clarity of mind contrary to the common stereotype.
Ben, I don't think that smoking pot will make you lose your faith. I think you just finally gained the freedom of mind to question the faith you were raised on. Christianity, or any other religion, does not really stand up to critical questioning thought.

Not huge hydro fan, but being I love in the driest state in the country, I take what I can get and always a good pure Sativa when I can.
Regarding pot on ones faith. My faith in God has certainly changed over the years and I would think in some part due to my consumption. When the stress is gone and the calm comes, I think we all think a bit clearer.
However, my faith is not define by a chemically induced experience, even one with the herb I love so much. There have been many times I have thought of and in some cases convinced myself of complete BS while high out of my mind. Granted, I was able to flush it all once I was not, but with that 'clarity' comes confusion.
Almost unrelated (but still the making of a good story), we used to do something we called going to the white light. One person at a time, we would take a pipe (classic glass pipe with a reasonable size bowl), and smoke 5 full bowls one right after another as fast we we could. In general that meant one extra breath between each hit. By the time we hit the last bowl, it was starting to hit. Most of the time we were using white widow (part of why we called it the white light). Then we would hold on....
We had a name for each stage we would go through, the black fog being the last before the white light. Then POW, we could come out the other end into a super aware state. Not that we were not high, but every sound, color, smell, and even thought become extremely clear.
Now, the coolest part of of going to the white light was, even though you got there very quickly (20 min tops) for the next several hours you would go back through each stage.
Now I am stuck in the driest stat in the country and about the only decent herb I get is when I travel to NL. No time (or herb) for the WL.
