I agree with the 60+ Magnify Glass/ Microscope view for the trich Color, and close up! As you see though, with the naked eye, you can spot that they are there! Just click the pic to Close up, and see! This is last weeks pic. I will update later. I am in week 4 now!

Two were only Females! The seeds came from my father, who grew because of cancer! I grow for fun and pleasure! He got seeds from net! I have seen his finished harvest! These were nice dense, PURPLE buds about the size of banana's! I could only hope! I am using CFL. My father used 400 watt HPS! Father grew Hydroponics! I am using soil! Hey Rickybudz, your girls are looking great.

Now, I'm just an uber noob here, I just started my first grow a week ago but something you wrote caught my attention, you mentioned getting light through a window.

This point is probably moot now, you plants look nice, but none the less its useful information for the future. Most windows in houses now days are UV treated. Different glass, window types, coatings and what-not all make differences. A typical, newer style, double-pane window has energy star crap built into it thats great for your heating and cooling expense but bad for good lighting. Light gets through but not the good stuff ya need from it.

A lot of prescription glasses that have transitional lenses (auto-darken when in bright places) wont darken at all if inside a car or behind an double pane window, some might darken a bit, depending on the glass, but not much.

The only reason I know is because my damn $350 glasses don't get dark while I'm driving on a sunny day. I have to hold them under sun that doesn't pass through a window first then stick em on if I want em shaded. And, they don't hardly darken when I'm at home cause of our energy efficent windows.

Once again, you're doing great with those for a first grow like me, but this might help someone later...

Thank You for the useful information. I see you educated a fellow reader as well! I have pretty much realized the best light for these girls are the CFL bulbs 1-3 inches from plants! I have noticed MORE growth where the lights are closest! So now I rotate lights from day to day, which seems to work fine! Once again, proving to me. More lights, More growth! I have still only 12 lights, but will get more next trip to store! I have started 7 new babies, in hope to work out problems I had this time! (That's for a different thread for the future) So more lights for veg. will be required soon! Thanks:jointsmile: guys for your positive feedback!

Day 34 of Flower! Lookin OK. Buds have hit a growth spurt. I have now referred to them as Beauty and the Beast! One looks pretty, and the other is just ugly! Here are updated pics from today! Just a few more hairs turning color. Question tho...Does the hair color mean strain type, or potency, or is color a reflection of health? Example, orange, red, or brown hair color!

Congrats, they look great. Especially for a first grow. I hope mine look anywhere near that good.
Side note- exclamation points lose their power if used too often, also they make the posts a bit difficult to read.

Really good, though. Keep up the good work.

Nice plants. The hairs turning brown/orange just mean they are getting closer.
