It's possible, yes. Stress or chemicals can cause this.

What do you mean by chemicals? Are there certain neuts if used to much will cause this? If so which ones?

I mean chemicals more like the kinds we use for forcing females to produce male parts so we can make feminized seeds. Colloidal silver is one.
