grapefruit gro about to go in flower.
for various reasons i'm having to rush it. so as to not stress it. i'm using wind down period of 3 days so i can get the ideal off/on time i'm looking for.
So day 1 it gets 2 more hours sleep, day 2 another 2 and by day 3 its 12/12. so its 18(started here, day 0) 16 14 12hours...i know in nature this happens weekly as opposed to daily.
any opinions?
all i'm thinking is that the roots will extend further and the veg. nutes will be 'hopefully' used by the time i introduce new feed..basically a hungry and well rooted plant on day 3..tedcun Reviewed by tedcun on . gf gro grapefruit gro about to go in flower. for various reasons i'm having to rush it. so as to not stress it. i'm using wind down period of 3 days so i can get the ideal off/on time i'm looking for. i just wouldn't use the new feed until you're sure they need it, like when they show signs..

you can gradually reduce down to 12/12 but not necessary...

I've heard of gardeners dropping the time from 18 hours of light by 15 minutes a day till they get to 12 hours of light. One guy i know uses this 24 day period to veg his plants. from his cloner he puts them in his flower area at 18/6, from there he drops it 15 minutes a day. basically no veg period from clone to flower gradually. It does work for him. best to you
