Might wanna check, haightsolidstate.com
...mention that Sid sent you !
maybe, throw in a question about them going corporate, ( Inc. ) so we can
buy stock in their company, in the very near future !
... Oh, yeah, there's a guy at a Florida University, that is experimenting building his own ! ...but why spend the time, even if one could piece his huge
system together... He's got it spread all over the fooking G-Room !! I mean
wires and lights everywhere... No the madmen over at Haightsolidstate are
the leaders of this shizte for now ! Patterns pending. No joke. They will get the
deal, for these awesome products.
Slanted but not bias,
Zeffer

Haight Solid State.
"Red, blue and white LEDs for a complete full spectrum "
Full spectrum so you can see, not for the plant. White diodes run a tri-band peak from the phosphor coating, red, blue, and green, exactly what LED grow lights are supposed to avoid.
White diodes also fade/degrade faster than monochromatic diodes - monos have no phosphors to degrade alongside the emitter itself. Basically white diodes now have two points of failure instead of one.
"Covers up to 2x2 ft"
Most 90w panels cover 3x3 minimum. Mine certainly do.
"These are the only grow lights currently using this new generation of LEDs - they produce more light, penetrate deeper, and cost less."
If they cost less, why does their panel cost the same as everyone else's?

One more thing to add:
"The LEDs are automotive rated - the toughest rating for semiconductors."
Automotive-rated LEDs are notoriously the LEAST EFFICIENT producers of light. Looked at them, not impressed. Mag-lite has 1w LED flashlights that are brighter than a 6w automative LED.

I noticed that it has 630nm red, while I thought that the 660nm is what you want. Am I right?
I'll contact the company to see if it's possible to get the 660 if in fact that's what I should get.
