Late to the party
HI, I'm new here but used to grow premium nugs years ago...just started again since I'm legal. My question is that I started a bit late and only moved my smallish plants into full day hot so cal sun about 2 weeks ago, up til then they had been in dappled shade. Now because of a discreetness issue I had to move the pots into full sun for only about 8 hours and shade the other 5 or 6 hours. Is this going to cause them to flower early since I switched the lighting?? They are still outside with the 13 hours or so of daylight but just some shade now.
Good news is I also have 3 clones which I am trying to harden off in the same site with a little less full sun.nugssgalore Reviewed by nugssgalore on . yea Ive done late starts the past two seasons. I've wanted to see what's the latest point you can start and still be able to flower on time. The plants will just flower as soon as they are mature enough to do so. I've seen them flower as early as 4-5 weeks.

Outside is equal to the amount of light you get from the sun.

yep bobjob and others, I'm pretty sure they will be small plants but they do seem to be greening up some more and haven't started setting buds yet...keeping my fingers crossed they will grow a little more before flowering. Next year I will start earlier. I'm just giving them organic fish emulsion to promote new leaves every other watering. Thanks for the help. In years past, they sometimes aren't ready to harvest until end of Oct. here in the hot calif sun. Gotta love it.

Since my last post, I had some plants I started from seed and had in full sun, then because of security had to move them to a few hours less DIRECT sunlight but they are still getting normal outside light. I think this made them start to flower earlier but if I can keep them flowering for a couple months will they also get bigger at the same time? I am giving them a bloom fert but it still has some nitrogen in it. next try I will use the Earth Juice Grow and then switch to the Earth Juice Bloom since it's numbers are 0-3-1. i see that Fox Farm has a Beastie Bloom with the numbers 0-50-10 or something close.....scarey!!

Folks here seem to be of the opinion that flowering takes 9 weeks. During that time, you won't see much more leafy growth, but the BUDS will grow. and grow. and grow... and there's that extra couple of months you wanted!
peace :hippy:

Thanks for the encouragement healer,....that's kind of what I thought. But it has gotten so brutally hot here in Southern Cal that I think I will leave them where they are where they get a bit of relief from the brutal late afternoon sun.
