    What should total ppms be?

It really depends on a number of things, how old the plants are, what type of grow(soil I see), but in general from the videos/books I've seen and read, they all say start slow, so start with 500ppm, and work you way up, I've seen most say only max out at 1800ppm, but others have gone to 2200ppm, it all depends on what the plants like, but the one thing you gotta be sure about is to pH the water before giving it to them, it's like having food at the right temp to eat, if it's too hot, you can't eat it, just like plants, if the pH is too high/low, they can't use the nutes.

So start low, and work you way up.

taken from the Advanced Nutrients website(on connoisseur):
+ DIRECTIONS: Use 4 mL per Liter during weeks 1 through 6 of your flowering phase. Shake well to take full advantage of this product and put it to work for you.
    -------------
so that's about 15mL per gallon.

as for bud candy it doesn't give specific dosage on the site, but just follow directions on the bottle, and if you think your plants can take more( are not clawing ) then go ahead and add a little more next time, but if they start curling after a feeding, weaken the next solution because it was too strong for them.

I use a feeding schedule of 2 feed, 1 water, so every 3rd time I water my plants they only get fresh pHed water.

    hope this helps.
