how to obtain weed if no dispensaries?

I'm looking into get a medical marijuana card. I'm confused as to how to obtain the weed if there are no dispensaries. Have to buy it illegally?
I know I would be able to grow, but that just seems like too much work, especially if living in an apartment!
It seems so silly to legalize medical marijuana yet have no dispensaries.

I totally know what you mean, but i'm in need of a good dispensary~ Its a lot of trouble to grow but in the end the pay off will be awesome. You also can get caregivers to grow the weed for you. Dispensaries in Oahu would be a lot easier for everyone though. Maybe next year we will get the law passed.

Thats the problem I had in Hawaii, You gotta either grow your own or its back to the street.Street prices suck, I remember whenI was down there in 08 plenty farms were getting shutdown on the news,weed went up to $550 an Oz.
