i would not line the bottom with plastic because it may trap water and rot the roots.

I have dug the holes 5-7 Gal holes and the soil seems pretty good. Despite this I have some concerns. Lasy year I had outdoor plants that were in 5 gal water jugs. I put holes in the bottoms and dropped them into holes in the ground. This worked OK but I would like to just go direct into the ground. I want to know if I should line with plastic, use pots or go natural. I am concerned about soil Rating: 5
