Is it too hot this year?!?!
Everytime i go check my plants they look like they are in sleep mode... instead of the leaves fanning out, they all kinda droop down. is this because therye not getting enough water? Its been really hot this year and i was wondering if anyone else had this problem, also im a noob at outdoor growing. this is the first year i got a few plants to grow over 3 feet tall. sorry to say two of them are males, and i think the other one is female because it has no ball sacks yet, and little calyx looking things instead, but no white hairs!!
All in all the plants look to be alive still! I think im just slacking on watering them. There in 5 gallon buckets. Also would it be a good or bad idea to sprinkle some flower/plant food on the top soil? thanks for the feedback.soljazbud Reviewed by soljazbud on . Is it too hot this year?!?! well i kinda have been slacking on watering them, i just went back and they seemed to be more lively. i watered them again. also i put a bunch of dead leaves on top of the soil so maybe it will stay moist. i poked a hole at the bottom of the 5 gallon bucket, and the soil was like sand..... that dry... lol it was amazing they were even alive. i guess im just using regular dirt and a little bit of miracle grow, potting mix. like i said im new at this. i wasnt aware that the plants needed to be watered so much. now that i know i will keep watering them everyday. and also im scared to transplant the plant into a bigger pot because ive killed alot of plants doing this
and also i clipped all the leaves off that were turning yellow, i dont know if this was a good or bad decision. anyways ill check on them tomorrow and see how theyre doing.thank you.

i got them in the woods somewhere, and its hard to get in and out, so do you think it would be best if i just dig a hole where they are, and drop them in there? and just use the ground dirt?

I am having some of the same problems. Its hot here in SW this week 105f during the heat of the day. I have a female sour kush who was planted a month ago after veg'd indoors. its grown maybe 2 inches from the top? Not sure what to do. I used roots organic 707 soil 30% perlite and dug a bomb crater. I have been watering them every 2 to 3 days depending if they are dry. my qustion is will it grow when its this hot? Soon temps here will drop in the low 90's mid sept. Should i dig it up and bring it inside? its a foot tall now

i assumed that was the issue. Thats why i have started the slow migration indoor. My question is shoud i dig up the sour kush plant and move it indoors? my only thought there is i might damage it by moving it? Or should i let it go. Im also not sure its getting that much direct light? 6 to 7 hrs here now in summer. But in the fall that # will drop.
So any help here and there will be greatful!!!!

Is it too hot this year?!?!
i heard 5 hours of direct sunlight is all it needs. by the way my plant i repotted is a female its producing buds now and white hairs. it hasnt even gotten dried out once since i put crushed up dead leaves over the top of the soil. this seems to keep the rain water from evaporating out.
it seems like the plant is still in vegetation state, but i can tell its a female... im wondering if its going to kick into budding action soon or not since there will only be like another month of warm weather here in new england.
any feedback would be nice.
